The HD screenshots are all from HDMOVIES.co.nz, notice the watermark. I matched them with the DVD.
300 is a particularly hard movie to transfer given its large amount of grain and the DVD has trouble reproducing it for video given DVD's lower bandwidth.
The HD-DVD even has trouble but it is light years ahead of the SD-DVD. Colours seem to be right one with the high contrast images remaining intact without
faded blacks. 300 looks particularly sharp on my display and during the running time I was fully immersed in the film. The grain never affected my viewing but
only served to enhance it. I highly recommend picking this title up on HD-DVD or Blu-ray.
