I'd say buy the Criterion boxset. Though I've not compared subs/audio each disc has better video than the MOC/BFI releases despite the annoying windowboxing. Each disc also has a half hour video essay and then there's a supplments disc with a docu on Abe/Teshigahara and also four short Teshigahara films. The MoC releases (Pitfall/The Face of Another) have Tony Rayn's commentaries.
