Both discs are progressive but the R2UK has aliasing and other dodginess

R2UK is letterboxed so I resized it.

The Criterion cropping isn't too bad here although I don't know why they did it... The boosting isn't bas bad as in their Sanjuro release although they still try to turn night into day for some strange reason. Still, it's anamorphic and so much better than the BFI's video.
The BFI has a better translation and the audio is so much clearer although you get more hiss into the deal. They both have commentaries, the Criterion also has the "It is Wodnerful to Create" docu.
