Lethal Weapon: HD-DVD vs. DVD *LARGE PICS*

Lethal Weapon

Top: DVD
Bottom: HD-DVD

The HD screenshots are all from HDMOVIES.co.nz, notice the watermark. I matched them with the DVD. Lethal Weapon looks good for a 20
year old film. Compression errors are kept low and colours are quite sharp. Dirt never becomes an issue. Edge enhancement isn't an issue
like the DVD. No DNR either. It's just that the video doesn't reach a level of sharpness that I hoped it could've. Perhaps it's time for Warner
to do a brand-new 4K transfer.

Lethal Weapon 2 should be up next. It's worse with jaggies from de-interlacing. Just wait and see...

Agh, Lethal Weapon 2 is a favourite. I hope they haven't fucked up.

Are these the original theatrical versions BTW?

I like the DC of LW but the extra scenes in Parts 2 and 3 are cutting room floor filler.

It's the theatrical version on HD but the deleted scenes are on the HD disc under extras.

I'm glad they're included... but wouldn't there be room for both versions?

Branching??

They're saving that for a double dip in the future I'm sure.
