Completely useless study, however good quote from Blitz chief executive, Philip Oliver (Remember Oliver Twins from good old 8 bit era - Dizzy?)
Philip Oliver, chief executive of Blitz games, said more education was needed for parents.
"They aren't paying attention to the certificates. That is partly because they don't understand them and have a distorted image of games - that either they are harmless or totally evil."
It's very simple: How many gamers are there, worldwide? WHo play violent videogames? A LOT!
How many cases do we know about the content of these violent videogames leading to direct real-life violence!? A few? I know of only 2 or 3 cases where criminals said that their violent videogames gave them the idea for their crime.
Ok... and now ask how many people have been made to hate and kill other people, because of the content of certain holy books!?
There ya go.
I'm not calling for a ban on (holy) books or whatever. I'm just saying that the whole discussion about videogames leading to real-life violence is just a huge hypocrisy when we know that (abuse of) religion/holy books are causing hundreds or thousands of deaths each single day.
I guess they are just gonna keep doing research untill one research finally comes along that gives them the answer they want.
Anyway, I'm off to kill some hookers for money.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...
