Basket Case 2 and Brain Damage - Synapse Films

Post by slasher13 »

As the title says
DVDTIMES wrote: Synapse Films have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Basket Case 2 on 30th October 2007 priced at $19.95 SRP. Duane Bradley (Kevin Van Hentenryck, reprising his role from the first film) and his surgically-separated twin brother Belial return in Basket Case 2, the frightfully gory follow-up to Frank Henenlotter’s original monster movie classic. After surviving a fall from a hospital window, the two brothers become a target of the media. Duane’s aunt, Granny Ruth (played by world-renowned jazz singer Annie Ross), whisks the duo away to a secluded mansion where other freaks-in-hiding live out their days away from public scrutiny. But when a snooping tabloid reporter finds the location of the mutants, Duane his new family must stand together to keep their freedom a secret…and in all the chaos, Belial might actually find true love!

Features include:

* 1.78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen Transfer Mastered in High-Definition from the Original 35mm Negative
* ”Beyond the Wicker” – brand new making-of featurette
* ”The Man in the Moon Mask” – new interview with actor David Emge
I have the Something Weird original release for the original Basket Case movie, and that is superb, I really liked the movie, so will prob get this as well

Also of note:
Synapse Films’ uncensored Special Edition DVD of director Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage is also coming back in print for a limited time on the same date for $19.95 SRP.
If they talking about the anamorphic special edition that was released in 2003/4 then I have it already. Great price, so if you don't have Brain Damage, then GET IT!!!!! :)

Ta Slasher. Good news about Brain Damage coming back into print, I've heard a lot good thing about that (and Henenlotter’s Frankenhooker).
