Most of the titles aren't in stock but you can be asked to be notified (assuming it works of course). For example they have the new Memento SE for £11.99.

Its not the new SE Brad, its the old US/Canada SE/LE (from looking at the cover). Still a good price though.

Are you talking about Memento? Because:

A: They only by the looks of it sell UK R2 DVDs
B: The cover art is the new UK R2

Axelmusic are an R2 seller too. Do they sell non-R2 DVDs?

I've asked to be notified if they get any in stock regarding Memento. I can't see myself using them very often.

I'd take issue with the "perfect condition" claim

nothing I've had from them has been as good as new.

Memento shit and one of the most pointless special editions ever made, a total waste of time! the films great, but the extras are absolutly shit.

and they are dodgy second hand dealers! so in my opinion I wouldnt go near them ever! a waste of time I have had 2nd hand titles from many companies who say perfect etc.. and they never were ever, so I ended up sending most back as they were scrstched and the boxes were in bad condition, I like perfection.

p.s - As for Memento it's no more "shit" as you put it to the R1 SE. I think it's tops but a little expensive for my tastes.

The R1 of Memento is appauling! one of the worst dvds ever made, loads of features, none very good, al hidden so badly no normal person will ever find them, a joke!

My UK R2 Memento SE arrived the other day and it is in "perfect" condition. Even you Romero wouldn't find anything to complain about.

There is not a mark on the packaging or DVDs. It was a saving of £4 over the retail version from CD WOW. Not huge I know but it's under the £15 barrier I hate going over for non-box sets.

It was £11.99 and is £17.99 - £2 = £15.99 from CD WOW.

When I first checked the site 7 days ago they didn't have much I wanted but I asked to be notified on 10 or so titles and 3 already I've recieved an e-mail to say they're in stock. I decided against getting "Project A" but am about to order:

It's actual title is just "Trilogy" so is very hard to find on most e-tailors websites. The cheapest I can find it is £34.95 from Benson's World so at £23.99 it's a £10.96 saving. The trilogy is similar to the "Three Colours Trilogy" and is also French.

I just bagged myself Panic room SE for £7.99, lovely. It's now £9.99 after discount from CD WOW.

OMG I've done a Romero and spent £70 in the last 2 days on DVDs. That is definitely it until next pay day. I've only just been paid to:

1. WKW Collection - £37.99
2. Trilogy box set - £23.99
3. Panic Room: SE - £7.99

Luckily I can afford it.

I'm impressed with ThatzDVD's DVD shipping around and notification system. Because of this system I've ordered 3 DVDs from them in the 10 days or so since becoming a member.

"Lucas Belvaux One Two Three Trilogy Box Set" arrived and unlike Memento wasn't in perfect condition. The saving was great however (£11) and in honesty the markings very minor. The digi-pack case is ever so slightly bent. I decided to keep it. "Panic Room" is another story, the packaging was in very bad shape. So I returned it. I've received my refund but I also received this e-mail from ThatzDVD today:

Please note that all our items are in "used" condition and described as such on our website. You have noted that the packaging you received is damaged but for a "used" item the minor marks on the outer packaging are quite normal and would not generally qualify for a refund.

It's important to mention at this point the FAQ sneakingly doesn't mention packaging at all just the DVD quality. This is to my favour as far as I'm concerned. I've just replied to this e-mail as follows:

Firstly thank you for refunding me. I'd like to point some things out:

This is the third DVD I've bought from you in under 10 days (I've only been a member for this duration). The first was in perfect condition and the second had minor packaging marks. I decided to keep the DVD as the marks were minor (the top of the case was slightly bent) and the saving was good. So you see I wasn't being petty when sending this DVD back.

This DVD however I wouldn't classify as minor it clearly had been kept in bad condition by the previous owner. I looked carefully on your site before deciding to return said DVD and did so as it doesn't state anywhere I can see that I cannot send DVDs back because of poor packaging.

I own over 360 DVDs and by the very fact I own them they are second hand and so therefore used but 90% are in perfect condition. It is a fair assumption used means the DVD (and it's packaging) is in decent condition. I don't expect them to be perfect but I do expect them to be in good condition. This was not.

Reading your return form it mentions being damaged in shipping how am I to know this wasn't the case here? I've received goods that have arrived very badly due to poor looking after by the postal service.

If I am not allowed to send DVDs back I consider to be in poor condition (note: not minor condition) then I'm afraid I'll have to be very wary about buying from you again. Which is a pity as thus far I've received good service. I'm very impressed with your notification system for example.

Can I ask you mention on your FAQ that damaged packaging is not a good enough reason to ask for a refund. Something I disagree with for the record.

Sods law since posting on the 28th Panic Room UK R2 is no longer at CD WOW . The cheapest I can find it now is £13.75 at DVD Popcorn. I considered keeping the DVD from Thatzdvd but decided a saving of £5.76 wasn't enough to warrent keeping a sub-par DVD.

It would only annoy me everytime I looked at it.

Fingers crossed CD WOW get it back in stock. They sell the R1 but that's expensive at £16.99 before vouchers.

Panic room I bought for 2.99 at cdwow the asian superbit too bargain! and that was ages ago.

Great price but I wouldn't have bought it. I don't want the bare-bones release DTS or no DTS.

I own a bootleg of it anyway (bar the DTS) which is great quality. It cost me 50p!

tried amazon brad?there's a marketplace seller selling what he says is a new and sealed copy of panic room reg 2 se for £8.95 + postage.amazon insure you when you buy from the marketplace so no risk.

I'm not sure though, Amazon's idea of insurance makes me uneasy. I bought L' Appartement from their French umbrella and the hassle to get my money back after the sale went sour was not nice. I think I'll wait in hope CD WOW get it again. I'm in no rush.

[/quote]my handle came from a childhood toy i had,a boat whose captain was saltysam.:Pbizarre but it stuck with me somehow.i actually had something from amazon marketplace not turn up over xmas,filed a claim and got a refund no problem so maybe their service has improved.i'm actually tempted to go for this myself as i only have the bog standard reg 3 superbit.
