The Street Fighter (UK R2 remaster) - any good?

Post by grim_tales »

Hey,

I caught sight of a UK remastered box set of the Street Fighter (Sonny Chiba) films - what are people's opinion on them? Are they actually any good? ;)

I think this was the film series that influenced Romeo Must Die (to a degree) because of the "X-Ray" bone snapping techniques :D

I loved all 3 of the StreetFighter films, very entertaining stuff, dont expect anything life changing or anything like that, I bought all 3 for about 2 pound! so I didnt get ripped off, but the films are fun, violent and silly, people getting there balls and cocks ripped off by Hard bastard Sonny shows you what to expect. :D He is like a harder, more sadistic Bruce Leee who gurns a lot.

I've not seen it yet but if Romero says it's smart then yeah, I'd give it a go.

Optimum DVDs

Post by chenlung »

These DVDs are low in brightness - possibly to hide the grain problem and to sharpen the image up a bit likely.

The first Streetfighter is offtint resulting in an overall green look.

www.dvdbeaver.com has an excellent comparison of all 3 films  !

Hope that helps  !
