A film so bad it scares children

but hell Luke Goss is fun in it

the UK dvd looks a little more poppy, colourful and contrasty, just a little mind you.

hey,
more bad decision making on Michelle's behalf, and I know that before even having watched it. The Touch said quite a lot and Silver Hawk is directed by Jingle Ma, which also says a lot.

I quite liked The Touch. Yes it's pretty much bad but I still enjoyed it. I guess the very low expectations helped.
Salty must like Silver Hawk to buy two DVDs.
Salty: Is the English dub as bad as I hear? I'd be interested in buying your HK DVD. £4? It's the 2 Disc version right?
I'd still like to see it as I do find Michelle Yeoh charismatic, enough to save some films.
As for PQ I'd give it to the HK DVD for slightly stronger colours.

A Michelle Yeoh action flick. Which has had 100% resoundingly bad reports. I've never heard anything but bad things for it. The same goes for The Touch.
As CJ may not have a Scooby doo who Luke Goss is he was the bad guy in Blade 2.

It's awful, the reason i have two versions is thus: bought the region 2 last week in music zone for £2.97 , i had totally forgotten i had bought the region 3 on release a couple of years ago

which tells me i have way too many dvds and need to cut back.the version i have is a single disc, wasn't aware of a 2-disc version.the original version, which i haven't watched has an awful lot of english dialogue i believe.

The fact that even Romero got rid of this should tell you all you need to know

My older sister was a big fan of Bros. back in the day. She would write slashfics about them.

What's a slashfic?

Erotic gay fan fiction. Typically written by fan girls. The most common topics:- Kirk/Spock, Gackt/Hyde.

...and with Bros you can also place it into the incest sub-category.

It's nae a dub. This film was shot in both English and Cantonese (separately). I've only seen the English. I suspect the Cantonese one sounds a bit more fluid, but not sure if Luke Goss is dubbed in that version.

Really? Bruce Leeroy told me eons ago when he'd picked the Thai DVD up (which came out first) that it was a dub and a dreadful one at that.
I wonder if it's partly dubbed. That would make sense. I just want it in Cantonese as as I can't understand it bad dubbing I wouldn't notice whereas if there is any English dubbing or badly spoken English too it will stand out a mile.
So is it Yeoh's voice on both tracks?
but not sure if Luke Goss is dubbed in that version.
You can count on it.

I've never heard of that term of what it's used for before. I sometimes think you speak a completely alternate version of English from the rest of the world

Salty is your eBay handle tripleirons2005? It's the only R3 I can find. If so my god you have 2509 feedbacks.
I was wrong there is no HK 2 Disc version, the extras are on the single disc DVD.
I take it you don't mind the English soundtrack?

that's me Brad.english soundtrack is crap,i'm selling both versions,like i said earlier it wasn't until i'd watched the region 2 i realised i had the region 3.

region 2 cover doesn't even indicate what language is.

Brad, the English track is definitely original (I have it). No dubbing from anyone. Every character speaks English in their own voice. Only the flashback scenes are in Mandarin I believe (need to double check). The conversations obviously have an accent but everyone's level of English is excellent. The only problem is with the acting.
If anything, I suspect the only dubbing will originate from the Cantonese version (assuming Goss has been dubbed).
Shot simultaneously in Cantonese and English.

Thanks BiscLimpkit. I've heard the same.
I'm still oddly interested in seeing it though. I just seem to be able to watch Michelle Yeoh in anything.

I've heard from a view reviews (including yours) the English soundtrack definitely sound dubbed even if it really isn't.
That really doesn't sound good. At least with the Cantonese I won't be able to tell as I'll be relying on the subs. It's an odd logic I know but makes sense to me.
saltysam wrote:that's me Brad.english soundtrack is crap,i'm selling both versions
I may have to bid
Does the Cantonese feature Yeoh's voice Salty?

I've seen the R0 HK from Megastar some of the film is in English. All the western actors speak English while Michelle and Richie only have a few lines here and there. When they're on their own they speak Cantonese.

Oh, and the acting is terrible too. What was Michelle thinking!

Thanks Ricky it's appreciated.
It sounds like it was shot in English with bits of Cantonese thrown in then.
