Golden rule of Stephen Chow films dude: Any film he's made with Jeff Lau is worth watching. This is no exception to that rule :D

I wouldn't agree with Shingster's golden rule, natch, but I got some laughs out of this.

Is there a Stephen Chow film you actually like though? I seeem to recall from my days doing that big HK film poll that you gave all his films low to average marks. :D

By the way, is the site still available. I was looking for it some time ago, but couldn't find it.

hey,

this one feels a little strained when Chow isn't on screen but comedic, sometimes ultra weird gold when he IS. The training sequence with the security guards is a classic, involving bombs and poo.

Yeah, easily the highlight of the film.

LD: I moved the site over to my ISP webspace when the old subscription ran out, here's the link m8.

hey,

useless image censoring of the finger going into the poo within the feature since the outtakes shows that particular unused take untouched.

I love Out of the Dark.
It's not Chow's best or funniest movie, but it's perfectly watchable.

If you've seen Luc Besson's Léon and Wong Kar-Wai's Fallen Angels, you'll appreciate OOTD even more. :D

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

There are a few I like and own... some that are OK or average... some that plain suck...

Same with any filmmaker, really... but I do think he's vastly overrated on the whole.
