This new UE transfer is absolutely brilliant. Naturally all the dirt is gone but also the framing has been improved in order to avoid the edge-of-the-frame mishap that happened on the other disc. Compression is much stronger making the experience of watching the movie that more enjoyable. While some have complained about the blue colours going to green and saying that it's not natural I can't agree. I think cap 2 looks very realistic with the colour of the sky. The only problem with this transfer is that there is the slightest bit of horizontal squishing and stretching.

And that completes my James Bond Ultimate Edition vs. Special Edition comparisons. :D

1st comparison = Is Bond doing the Moonwalk  ? I wonder what the sequence would look like on reverse.

I know its been years, but does anyone know if the R1 UE includes burned-in subs for the non-English dialogue (for example, right after the guy is thrown on the bed of spikes)?

I'll check and get back to you later.

Yes, the subtitle "Get off my bed" is the burnt original.
