Gay, only a BRD release. Fucking Di$ney, for a supposed supporter of HD-DVD they haven't released a single title on the format.
That cover art is okay but it could've been better.
The DVD looks nice but stinks of a single disc with double disc down the line, maybe the UK R2 will be getting this. I'll be picking up a version for sure.

The same applies to the slew of HD-DVD only formats wouldn't you say?

No, as Disney are supposedly supporters of the BOTH formats (i.e. unlike Sony & Fox who only support BRD, Universal who only supports HD-DVD) - yet there's been no Disney HD-DVDs to date.
It's £9.99 so should be about £7.43 at CD-WOW.US with the voucher. I'm posting it as it's one of those ones which isn't found in the CD WOW search. I had to e-mail CD WOW to ask where it is.
I'll get it at some point. I'm starting to think about only getting DVDs which won't come to HS soon (such as Criterion's) or films I absolutely love. I only saw this recently so don't feel in any rush to buy the DVD and may just get either the BD or HD-DVD.
Why are you slamming a studio for releasing a movie on BRD instead of HD? Didn't you know that BRD is the "in-thing" amongst the Hollywood studios?
Don't you see this is WHY you shouldn't buy EITHER format? And should in truth ban them all for being assclowns and not agreeing on 1 single format? (For which I mostly blame Toshiba (!!!))
I'm not slamming either and am all set to get a Combo Player. Waiting will just mean you're putting it off, neither format is going anywhere any time soon.
I was all set to get a PS3... though it seems it's so limited that I would need to upgrade both my amp and projector... (I would need an amp with 7.1 digital and a projector with HDMI) meaning it's not the cheapest HD player anymore
Putting it off may mean one of them goes belly up before I have to have one though... and I'm not too keen on buying 1st gen anymore... 1st gen (8 bit) DVD players were awfull compared to the 2nd and 3rd generation...
Great film though. Really steallar performance by Bale (I'd say he easily carried this movie, since Jackman is well... Jackman and Caine is a bore, and Scarlett wasn't really used much... (besides she's too skinny ))

DD Plus (or the rest downsampled to 1.5Mbps) will pass through Optical or Coaxial but the rest yes you need an Amp with HDMI.
It's precisely why when I get HD I'll be paying extra for a Player with Analogue 5.1 outputs. It's the best my Amp can take and I really don't need a new Amp.

Agreed Bale carried the movie, not that I'd say Caine is a bore and Scarlett is well lovely, talented too. Skinny? Nah not IMO.
