The special edition is quite a nice transfer. All the colours have been corrected and now look natural and
not over-saturated and odd like the first non-anamorphic DVD. Framing has been opened up as well. Dirt is
not an issue with this new transfer and thankfully grain is preserved and zero edge enhancement has been
applied, the old disc was loaded with edge enhancement. The only issue I have is the clipping occurring with
bright regions of the picture but given the other improvements I can easily look past that shortcoming. I love
this film and am glad to finally have a good copy of it, I just now have to wait for that 1080P Blu-ray Disc!

There's a sort of yellow colour grade over the whole movie on the original DVD.

Classic film, shame about shitty SE artwork.

The film should have a golden"glow" about it in the Mcallister house (albeit not to the extent as the original has), as I remember this from the cinema, but the SE is so far superior to the original that who gives a shit.

Many films seem to have this. I wonder why.

Probably the film-processing of the 90s??? I have no idea.
