Much bigger difference than I was expecting. The R3 looks interlaced.
Salty do you ever sell DVDs on?
What worth does the R3 have to you?

You have a good eye.
There's a little bit of combing on the first cap.
So, yes. Interlaced.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Good man.
As for Insomnia neither the original or remake are outstanding IMO. The remake is better however as the acting talent is very good, it saves it.

He he since having an LCD TV I've started to spot shoddy transfers much more. So far Interlaced, NTSC-PAL and EE.
I never noticed EE on my CRT.

I can see no difference int them caps! apart from that interlacing, look at Als ear in the 1st cap, wonky stepping
I have the Region 1 version myself, loved the film. Cost me £2.50 from dvdsoon

The colours are more vibrant too. The master is bound to be the same.

Well you just turn up the colour to compensate for that.

Nah it's easier just to get a decent looking DVD. I know you like to but I don't mess with my TV settings. I have better things to do like watch the film
