Balls of Fury

Post by thelostdragon »

I first got aware of that, because Maggie Q landed a role in this film. Sounded kinda strange and cheesy to be honest, but when I heard that it is a comedy about Ping Pong with a description that goes like:

"It's like "Crouching Tiger" or "Jet Li's Fearless" or any other Asian fighting movie, but if you took all of the kung-fu out and put in ping pong instead."

...and that Chrisopher Walken is in it as well, I looked for it on the web and I also found this hilarious comic-con footage of the film's press conference.

Officer Dangle rocks. Reno 9/11 is SO much better than British attempts at satire of reality TV, notably The Office. For one, Reno 9/11 is actually funny.

i agree reno 911 is incredibley funny, better than alot of british stuff, and one of the best shows to come from america in recent years, some of the stuff said in it
is very risque for an american show, hopefully getting the dvds at xmas.

they've done quite alot of stuff too, thomas lennon is a huge jackie chan fan and wrote the pacifier especially for him....until some studio bloke thought vin diesel would be better in it

is balls of fury a striaght film???? or is it reno 911 satire stylee? either way this and reno 911:miami are easily the films i'm most looking forward too

The trailer seems okay, The best ping pong movie I've seen is this Fumihiko Sori Ping Pong

Very cool, the r4 version is NTSC->PAL conversion :(, so I'm stuck with my r3 version at the moment, may get the japanese version for it being anamorphic

Amen. Different story for Caucasian women though - Eg ultra skinny chick off The OC, yuck. Catwalk models look like malnourished aliens and prepubescent boys.
