How is Ultraman?

Anyone seen the 2004 live action Japanese film? I loved Hinokio, will I enjoy this?

It has scored a low mark on imdb but has received mainly positive reviews.

The "Sentai" hero genre tends to suck across the board, unless you still get kicks out of crap Power Rangers, Masked Rider and Beetleborgs (I wouldn't be surprised if Grim does). Expect the usual - men in plastic armour stunt-fighting men in rubber monster outfits while random cheap explosion effects explode all over the place.

Easy with the hate for KAMEN RIDER there!!!

The new ultraman has up to date special effects and stuff in it....They tried to make a REAL movie rather than the fighting stuff of the series...

You can NEVER grow out of Masked Rider....

The new(ish) series FAIZ was pretty good..Even with the CRAP CGI!!! :shock:

I've never seen the original Japanese versions of Power Rangers, Masked Rider etc. AFAIK the US versions added some cheap footage filmed around a college or something (for Power Rangers).
I liked Power Rangers back in the day when Lord Z was the baddie

The US versions are pretty much the same as original Japanese shows - they're both absolute shit. All the fight footage was aped from Jap shows BTW.
