Liberal documentary DVDs in Nov.

Post by EvaUnit02 »

DVD news for all the left-wingers on this board (which like is everyone except Mark).

An Inconvenient Truth

Paramount Home Entertainment have announced Al Gore's global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth for release on November 21st. The DVD, presented in anamorphic widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 Surround, will include a new video introduction by Gore (with updates global temperatures, population, hurricanes, projections of soil moisture and more), an audio commentary by director Davis Guggenheim with producers Lawrence Bender, Scott Burns, Laurie David and Lesley Chilcott and a music video for Melissa Etheridge's "I Need to Wake Up." The packaging will be made completely from 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, inks and coatings formulated to emit virtually no volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere.

Who Killed the Electric Car?

In 1996, electric cars began to appear on roads all over California. They were quiet and fast, produced no exhaust and ran without gasoline. Ten years later, these futuristic cars were almost entirely gone. What happened? Why should we be haunted by the ghost of the electric car? Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the recent documentary Who Killed the Electric Car? on November 14th. Presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1, extras will include 12 deleted scenes, the bonus documentary "Jump-Starting the Future" and Meeky Rosie's "Forever" music video. Retail is $26.96.

Hey, I'm only right-wing when it comes to crime and terrorism (which is what we talk about a lot).

Me, I'm a mix of things. On crime, I'm conservative. On prostitution, I'm liberal ;)*

I wouldn't mind seeing either of these films though, just to see what the hubbub is about. The latter of the two is playing locally, I think, so I might catch it... maybe.

*Thanks to Chris Rock :D

"Who Killed the Electric Car?" - Looks decent but I hear "An Inconvenient Truth" is dull as dish water.

I'm more interested in seeing "This film has no rating", which still isn't in my area  . I reckon I'll have to pick up the DVD.
