Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Image Comparisons:

The new transfer sports the original 2.35:1 super 35 transfer in anamorphic widescreen. The overall
colouring and cleaning done benefits the film and makes this DVD more enjoyable. There is less clipping in bright areas,
more colour saturation especially is skin tones and compression has been cleaned up a bit resulting in a better rendered
transfer.

You are busy thanks. Agreed the new version looks better but not to any huge extent.

This is one of those classic 80's flicks that is now longer possible, shame as Hollywood churned out some real classics in the 80's.

I own both Editions. Keeping the first one because of the commentary from John Hughes (why it wasn't carried over I've no idea why) and the second for the multitude of extras. The documentaries/featurettes are absolutely outstanding on the new release.

Nah, even his Ferris was an annoyingly bland twat.

Spoiled the movie for me as I wanted the Principal to catch him.

How on earth could he be considered cool by anyone?

They had to hire geeky Alan Ruck to make Broderick look less lame.

Would a hottie like Mia Sara go out with this Ferris? No forkin' way.

John Cusack would've been better casting methinks.

He's sometimes not that exciting either to be frank but on form he has an edge.

Cheers Joe. The new transfer does indeed look slightly better, but for me the upgrade ain't worth it since you lose the John Hughes commentary; I'll take that commentary over some Retropective fluff any day.

Lol, the UK disc does look better.

The film was, I think, shot in Super35 so there's a bit of room for frame manipulation.
