Legend of Zu: R3HK vs R2FR

Post by tom2681 »

Notes:
The Korean disc is a port from the HK disc. The transfer is identical to the pixel.
The french transfer appears to be from an early print (before Tsui added the colour filters).

The absence of the colour filters allows the transfer to retain more shadow detail on the french disc.

French disc has more grain, but looks less filtered.

Very obvious colour filter on the HK disc.

English subtitles are slightly dumbed-down.
French subtitles are more literal (and a bit more obscure).

If anybody has the new R1, I'd love to compare it to these.

This is the film that everyone hates but you love right? It looks nice and colourful.

Hehe I'm with Tom, I actually really look this movie, it has a great visual look to it, and the story is not bad. I actually like Ekin movie, Stormrider, A Man Called Hero, Legend of Zu and The Duel. They are all really good comic movie IMO :)
