Bullets 'n' Babes

Right this is my next comparison, I think this is regarded as one of the more underrated Bond's mainly because it doesn't star Sean Connery.

Only a few caps for now, I'll get round to doing a few more soon, all from the Pre Credits sequence as thats where most of the fuss seems to be kicked up from right now.

On the pre credits sequence, clearly the beach scenes have been given a heavy dosage of blue tint to simulate dawn shots I guess, but I think they've over done it a bit.

Curious to see on the black bars that there are some verticle lines, if you turn up the monitor brightness you'll see what I mean on the Ultimate Edition Shots

Shots 4 and 5 look like they've been filmed at night on the new disc The title screen is now blue instead of purple.

These Ultimate Editions are fucking shit.

Yuck both are a mess. If I had to pick I'd say the SE was better.

The UE definately has a better image (sharper) and superior framing (the SE is cropped and squashed).

BUT, they've possibly fucked up the colour grading... AGAIN!?!

Was this meant to be 6am or 4am? Anyone got the VHS to check?

I don't have a problem with the blue hues on caps 4,5 and even 6.

But cap 3 is all wrong. Diana looks decidedly odd.

Gawd I hate those fake night-scenes where it's so fucking obvious that they just threw a filter on the camera to darken it up. How many times do you see crystalclear shadows at night!? Every damn time, in those old movies!

Yeah, they did make it a bit too dark. Thanks for the caps anyways.

One other thing, a line removal about Bond's back was changed a little reducing the joke. Restored here?

Shame about that awfully distracting window-boxing.

If you mean the shoulder line it's still present here. All they needed to do was turn the dialogue track off for three little words and the movie was uncut.
