Right, thought I'd do this film next seeing as there seems to be a few people around on various forums slating it for being Cropped badly and notibly its the last Bond film for a few Key people such as Maurice Binder's last set of Bond credit sequences, the last film to feature Caroline Bliss as Money Penny and most notibly and sadly in a sense, Timothy Dalton's last appearance as James Bond 007.

NOTE: Some of the pictures are not on the exact frame of each other but in those shots the Camera was NOT Panning so framing wise there won't be anything inaccurate with that.
Personal thoughts on watching it, the print is FAR better than the old print which was marred with film dirt thoughout, it wasn't too bad but you can really see the clean up work done on the new print and the encoding is FAR better on the new DVD too, also the people look more natural as on the old disc the people seemed a bit squat and a bit fat.

Jeez the old disc looks awful, I'm definitely upgrading.
As you say MLAM there was lots of dirt on the print, and whats that running down the side of the frame in the SE caps?

It is, I always thought LTK looked particularly bad on the old DVD given its comparitive youth compared to the others and yet it seemed to look worse than say the old SE of "For Your Eyes Only"
I think thats the edge of the negative frame more than anything running down the side of the old one.

All the extra gorey bits are in the print .
Note the main title credit is a totally different shade of colour now but atleast the girl looks a lot more human like now colour wise
My only quibble so far with these caps is the title credit colour change. It looks completely wrong. I asked a friend of mine who is a film lab technician and he said its likely Lowery Digital restored the film on auto and the computer made the assumption that the title card should be more skin coloured. Damn fools! I'm buying this for the uncut status but damn I'm annoyed
Incidentally, is the Isthmus City text player-generated or burnt into the print?
