Fist of Fury TV series (?) (Donnie Yen)

Post by grim_tales »

Is this any good? For some strange reason though CD WOW DVD rentals stocks the HKL of the Bruce Lee FOF, the trailer present on the site is for some sort of remake (?) with Donnie Yen (the trailer looks awful BTW).

Dont bother its not the TV series at all, they lie.

All it is, is about 20 hours of the TV show edited down into a shitty little under 2 hour film! a load of bollocks os you ask me and an insult. Try editing Lost season 1 into a 2 hour film , it woldnt work and its one of the single most ignorant ideas in history, yet they did it with FOF TV show.

Can you get the TV show with English subs on DVD though? Can the FOF of story sustain 20 hours? Hmmm I'm not so sure.

Yeah I've watched the TV series a long time ago and it was pretty entertaining. Not great, and most of the fightscenes were ruined by very poor editing and heavy undercranking. Plus Donnie Yen is a mediocre actor so that also affected the series. In the final episodes we can see Bey Logan doing some attempt at performing martial arts, but like his acting and writing, it isnt all that great.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

You cannot get the TV show at all, only VCD I think. It looks cheap as hell anyway.

hey,

the Sworn Revenge edit is actually very smoothly edited, covering the first half of the series in a fairly coherent way. Not bad if you want it subbed. The latter half is a piece of shitty mess with equally shitty fight scenes for reasons mentioned.

I couldnt ever watch a piece of edited film that was 10 times as long and is suposed to be seen that way, pointless is the only word for it really.

hey,

didn't pay for either edit myself...not supporting that...;) Someone who put up the download claimed it was a shorter but longer version than the Tai Seng which proved to be wrong. Ah well...

A few people have watched the full VCD series without subs and liked it, but I cannot watch a full series with no subs at all. I would rather eat the vcd's than do that.
