Yuen Biao in new TVB series! Woohoo!

Post by the68monkey »

Not the most original premise for a show, but at least he's back in action! Yuen Biao stars with Moses Chan in a TVB show called Super Cops. Biao plays an officer with a special gift for seeing the future, which he uses to help solve crimes. He's partnered with Moses Chan. Image

Here's a youtube video with English subtitles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNJVqpOF8VQ

Biao looks great! :love7:

As to whether or not that's Yuen Wah in the video clip, I'm really not certain. The video quality is rather poor to judge, but the guy's face looks rather rounded for Wah. Plus, the sunglasses, beard, and hair make it look more like somebody trying to look like a villainous Wah. But who knows? Some blogs are stating that it's Wah, but I haven't seen it anywhere officially. Until I do, I'd hesitate to say whether or not it's the master villain.

Of course, this isn't the first tv series in a long time for Biao. Last year saw his starring in the TVB series Real Kungfu (trailer of opening sequence here )

I would LOVE to have these series on DVD (or even VCD!) if they had English subtitles.

Wow, the action looks pretty good for a TV show, and it's nice seeing Yuen Biao active again. :)

And I'm sure those TV series will eventually be released with English subs, Monkey, or else you can probably download some fansubbed episodes somewhere...

hey,

english subtitled HK series, by fans or not, are steadily becoming more common.

Not watched many due to the non-sub issue but I enjoyed Triumph In The Skies with Francis, the rock of that show that otherwise was pretty crap. The edited versions of the Donnie Yen Fist Of Fury series worked for the former half of the series. The other was a quickly assembled mess and less said about the action, the better. If I wanted to watch pinball, I'd go to the arcade.

The premise sounds like a mixture of "Minority Report" and the Korean "Some".

The clip looks really good, though. I hope there will be an official DVD release with English subs.

I don't think I've even heard of Some, LD. What's it about :?:

edit: Scratch that. Just looked it up. :P I didn't realize the director of Tell Me Something had another film out there. Tell Me Something wasn't too bad, but had a very weak ending. The main attraction for me was seeing Han Suk-kyu and Shim Eun-ha reunited after their wonderful performances together in Christmas in August. However, Tell Me Something was an entirely different type of film than Christmas in August! :P
