There are 2 versions of the Tartan DC.
One with DTS and one without. Both feature the exact same transfer.

The M6 Vidéo TC DVD (featured here) doesn't feature the colour filters that can be found on all other versions.
The M6 Vidéo DC DVD however does have all the filters.

As I expected, the DC is not as good as the french TC, but still pretty good. Unfortunately there's combining on both versions, but it's not too bad on my 28" TV

I'd say the World Wide Cinema R2 Scandinavia DC is the best image.

Yeah. Tartan might be a tad too dark.

Hey, is the Tartan release of the Director's Cut w/ DTS native-PAL or NTSC-PAL? Thanks.

It's either a fine NTSC->PAL transfer or a majorly screwed-up native PAL transfer.
There's ghosting and combing all over the place.

So my tin box set is not the best version out there if I want to have the Director's Cut and don't need DTS?

The best picture is on Tartan's NTSC theatrical cut.

If you want the Theatrical Cut bar the silly extended ending the Director's Cut is better. I'm happy with my Tin.
