Good to see it's back at the £5.97 price. I picked it up last time but opted to pay £1.50 more for postage. It's a wonderful 4 disc set.
It also unusually for non-R1 also has the Mono soundtrack. Won't this be R2 only or is your Dad's DVD Player also multi-region?

Cool. A 5.1 track for 60+ year old movie would just be weird.

I'm surprised you didn't check. Yep unlike Paramount WB also gave international releases a choice.
The 5.1 remix btw is very subtle. It's nice to have the choice and also nice the 5.1 is at least not a disaster.

I was floored by the price of the set and just ran to order it without thinking. I know how these insanely low Amazon UK prices can disappear overnight.

Yes, Warner do indeed make top quality classic film SEs with excellent quality control.

For Remastering and Restoring Old Classics they're the best in the business.

Criterion is just as good and MGM were fairly decent, until Sony bought them out and slowed their releases to almost a halt. Fox are also reportedly quite decent.

I assume you want it? If so you do know in a few days a week both the Amazon Jersey and Amazon.co.uk prices will go.
Amazon are notorious for there sales that appear then before you know it disappear.
