I may check this out (OK I wont bother ) - depends how expensive it is. I did quite enjoy the series on BBC2. It was beautiful to look at.
That packaging is lovely.
Carnivale is £17.99 in UK just watched it and its amazing! blew my mind.
Rome was one of the few Big series that just doesnt apeal to me, the bits I saw on the BBC wwere awful, maybe I saw the wrong bits I never knowingly watch bits of TV shows, as I ussually cannot watch any TV, but it looked pretty nasty, nasty as in dirty and not something that I would care for at all. But if its cheap one day you never know.
If the R4's are the same as the R1 I'll wait then. Is Rome out on R2 yet? I remember the BBC broadcasts being cut quite a bit, not for adult content but cutting the historical background and things.
Well thats the thing we never know if they are the same until they come out, sometimes they get cut, loose extras etc.. and definatly wont have nice packaging. You pay for what you get, I try to get the best editions and america ussually is the place to get most of them.
Rome isnt out on Region 2 and wont be for a while it seems.
Well it depends where you get it I try to get them expensive TV shows off forums as they ussualy go for bargain prices. I love commentaries and listen to them at work, so for me they are the best extras and Deadwood had loads to make me smile at work while they swear at each other.

Wait til you see S2, it's fucking excellent. The confrontation between the Avatar and the Usher is truly epic. Rumour has it that there maybe a mini-series to tie up the loose ends left at the end of S2 (the show was cancelled).
