Remember the Dragon Inn situation ?
Well this is the exact opposite. This time it's HKL that has the colour filter.
But it doesn't matter how much you hate yellow filters, you gotta admit that the FS disc is supremely bad. A cropped, edge-enhanced and blurry mess.

The Yellow filter looks weird but yeah it's much nicer than the FS.
I guess the source materials must've been in better shape as the FS is from a HD Remaster and in the examples I've seen really beats the HKL.
Their ITLOD4 DVD is much nicer, despite the R1 only having dubtitles.

The HKL is sharper and has almost no visible print damage. It has a bit of grain, though.

HKL's audio is a "proper remix", right? No added FS crap?

Aren't all that way? Unless it's a Fortune Star remix.

Remember Warriors Two? That used the FS remix, it had an added Cantopop track, I recall reading.

Unless it's a Fortune Star remix.

Don't remember hearing anything weird or out-of-place in the HKL remix.
I could be wrong, though.

Thanks Tom. Should be safe then. The HKL disc is 3.99£ HKL's website at the moment.

Some of HKL's non-FS tracks sound like they were recorded inside a bottle (2nd and 3rd lucky stars movies for example (as far as I remember))

Fair enough. They've not added any new effects though right?

I don't really know too much about HKL's audio tracks but some of the media asia tracks could have some minor new bits. But it's nothing like FS's work and I never wanted to find out too much about those media asia tracks. If there's some flaws I can't notice then I'm happier not knowing about them...
