One of the best toons of the 90's, The Tick, is coming to DVD in late August 2006. No details have been revealed yet other than the date.

I remember The Tick as one of those crazy 'toons that always made me laugh. Definitely interested in this!

Good to see that a legit version of this is finally being released. Bootlegs have been on eBay for a long time, so it's a shame it's taken this long.

Yeah, I heard that it was just a "best of" set and not a complete season release. Fucking Disney, they pulled the same shit with the 90's X-men and Spider-man cartoons.

Supposedly out only 12 of the 13 episodes from Season 1 are seeing release becuz one of the episodes is in legal limbo.

The missing episode has been identified. It's one of the lesser episodes of the season, so no great loss.

Fans have played the guessing game since the announcement that The Tick set would be missing one episode, and now we can give you Disney's official statement on the issue, along with the missing episode title:

"Due to creative considerations episode 11 ("The Tick vs. The Mole Men") is not included. However, we hope to include it in future Tick releases."

So there you have it!
