Gene Pitney has been found dead in his bed during his UK tour.
The Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart singer was pronounced dead at 10am at the Cardiff Hilton. He had been touring the UK, with nine dates left to play.
Mark Howes of management company In Touch Music said: "He did a good show last night at St David's Hall and it was wonderful. I've seen him quite a few times on this tour and he was fit and well. He said it was the best tour he had done for quite a few years."
The 65-year-old's death is not thought to be suspicious, although the exact cause is not yet known.
65 isn't very old these days.
