Hey,

Cartoons that mix live action and animation are to be banned in China, according to something I read on Teletext the other day. Supposedly its' to limit the number of foreign cartoons but also to help Chinese animators/animation more. (?)
This means films like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and even Mary Poppins and pre-school show Teletubbies could be affected by the ban.

Is there any animation in Teletubbies?

This looks like an odd move as it will also censor Chinese artists.

Besides there are many foreign examples which don't so how's it going to stop foreign cartoons?

Maybe the baby's face in the sun counts as animation?
Its' wierd theyre going to ban that as I'm sure they made a Mandarin version of Teletubbies.
