Anyone noticed the site looks exactly the same as Soon, except for the colour scheme?
I will not be using Soon/Import again methinks. DVD Soon have obviously bought up DVD Import.

I had one horrible experience with DVD Soon that left me mentally scarred to this day. I will wait to hear some thoughts on import's services before deciding to order from them.

What happened Bisc, if you dont mind me asking?

*sniff* it hurts to talk about it...
What happened was I ordered a DVD. I waited for 3 months and it didn't arrive. I was fed up so I decided to cancel (as I could've just bought it from another retailer). I was furious that instead of refunding the cash, you only get store credit. So I had to order a second disc... this time I waited for another 2 months or so. I was then adivised that the only way to get anything from DVD Soon would be to pre-order. So that's what I did, and the disc came 2 weeks after it was released... :x

it seems like a strange move by dvd import, i mean they'll have basically pissed off all of dvdsoons customer base plus lost any of their own customer base that also used dvdsoon. bizarre stuff!

Moved to the appropriate forum, naughty naughty Grim
How does it look like DVD Soon? There is only so many ways you can structure a site selling DVDs.
Until I hear bad reports about DVD Import I'll use them, that said I've not used them yet as DVD Pacific or CD WOW have always been cheaper for me.

It has the same layout/similar colour scheme as DVD Soon

Sorry about it not being in the right forum though.
DVD Import now have the same addess as DVD Soon?
I've never used them, as you say DVD Pacific and CD-WOW have always been cheaper.

I suspect DVD Import are that mysterious company who bought out DVD Soon, effectively.
It looks like I won't be using DVD Import after all OR I may give them ONE go but I hope you can get a refund easily unlike DVD Soon. That said like I said I've used CD WOW and DVD Pacific up until now as they've been cheaper and I can't see that changing.

That's standard business practice to be fair.
Grim has had to send DVDs back I know and he's not had any problems AFAIK.

well as i've been using them for 3 years and spent many $ there in my opinion they should take it on trust i'll send it back and arrange my replacement to be shipped asap. cd-wow do this. why should i wait another month at least for my disc because they've screwed up?

Unfortunately the days of people being loyal customers means nothing any more, especially when this is an Internet site in another country.
Sure CD WOW do but very few other companies do.
Personally it would only bother me if I didn't trust the e-tailor.

i could have been dishonest, told them the dvd never arrived and they'd have probably shipped a replacement quickly. doesn't always pay to tell the truth.

Agreed. Once Upon a Time in China 3 was sent to me twice from SplashDVD as the first never arrived.
Shortly after I received the second one. I was honest and (paid to) sent it back. We all know how trustworthy SplashDVD turned out to be!

I've never had any problems with Pacific Brad, good thing it only happened once though.
