Perdita Durango: The Uncut Version (?)

Post by grim_tales »

There's a DVD of this being released in March touted as "The Uncut version" - wonder how uncut it will be? :? The BBFC cuts should at least be waived, the only true uncut version (AFAIK) was the German SE of the longer print which is now OOP.

Here's what the extra features are:

* Featuring 5 additional minutes cut by the BBFC upon its original DVD release, in its original widescreen ratio
* Memo from the BBFC regarding Perdita's rocky journey through the censors
* 'Perdita Durango at the BBFC'
* theatrical trailer

The runtime is apparently 125 mins - which IS the uncut version (I think), same as the German SE DVD.

Just got the disc today.

Tbe film appears to only have a stereo soundtrack, despite the packaging stating 5.1 :evil:

Maybe an uncut print was hard to get hold of, I don't know - but the DVD is bloody non anamorphic 2.35/1 :evil: In this day and age surely this is unacceptable.

The only anamorphic release is the German disc, though I think one guy on Import forums is saying the Spanish dialogie has burnt in German subs?
On the UK disc I needed to switch on the 2nd set of English subtitles to get a full, proper translation of all the Spanish anyway.
