Serenity Tin Edition R4

Post by BiscLimpkit »

Exclusive to Ezy DVD

Loads more extras than the R1 pish.

Click here for even more exclusive R4s that range from slip covers to mouse pads. Furthermore, Universal have confirmed no large rating logo by offering double sided covers!!!

Gonna place my order for that tin imo.

that looks really nice but I think I will stick with my region 3 order because I don't see paying an extra £8 (nearly double the cost of the region 3) good value for money just for a few extras and a tin

Your are forgetting a big thing, the extras are on dvd 2 on the Ausie version and thats more space for better picture. As the Region 1 and Region 3 squash all the extras onto the same dvd, hence the picture may well suffer.

Not necessarily Romero and unlikely.

Very few (less than 10%) ever get remotely close to filling up a DVD-9. It's one of the reasons Superbit is a marketing joke.

Considering all will be mastered well I doubt we'll be able to tell the AV difference.

I have many dvds like this, split onto 2 dvds and I can definatly tell the difference on many :) extras can fill up half a dvd easy and take down the picture quality. But until these dvds are both out I guess its best to wait and see how it turns out then :) but so far Ausie gets my cash and I will have the Region 3 version in a few days.

Realistically the extras on the region 1 and region 3 won't take up that much space to have a negative impact on the picture quality. I have to agree with Brad that I doubt there will be little difference between any edition of Serenity in terms of AV quality. It's only the extra bonus material and tin (for the limited edition version) that makes the Australian DVD the most desirable.

Although I would be interested to hear the results from your comparison of the region 4 and region 3 DVDs Romero
