King Kong (2005) - Production Diaries

Post by grim_tales »

Is this worth picking up? I ptobably will after I've seen the film :)

What do they involve? Just behind the scenes stuff or proper documentaries?

There's the R2 for £7.99 with voucher at CD-WOW or the R1 LE for £23.99 with voucher (!) :D

Nope no way.

IMO it's a blatant Peter Jackson marketing ploy, just like how he left footage out for the LOTR films (which I don't mind in that case).

£24 for extras yeah right

I'll wait for the actual film DVD release which will either have these extras again or ones which are just as good. I hope he doesn't give us an extended cut though; Kong Kong isn't LOTR it doesn't need more footage.

The TC of Peter Jackson's Kong is 3 hours already, it'll be interesting to see how this compares to the 1933 version (which I havent seen yet BTW).

That was 104 minutes but that's not to say the film couldn't be longer (3 hrs I'm not so sure on), films were much shorter back then.

It doesn't mean the story couldn't be expanded.

p.s - My local multiplex was showing the 2005 version last night. I had no idea until it was to late

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
