I've been waiting and waiting for Madman to fucking release GITS2: Innocence theatrically down here and I think I've found the reason for the huge delay.

Madman forums wrote:"Ghost In The Shell II: Innocence, will be THE definitive release with Manga teaming up with Madman to produce an English dub with them actively trying to get the Stand Alone Complex cast to record it. A cinema release is due Sept/Oct, with the DVD release planned for Feb 2006."

Jesus fucking christ! Understandable them wanting to do this though, since not having a dub would otherwise ward off the general public retards who " don't like to read movies". But at least have festival screenings of the subbed original language version for the rest of us.

(I wonder why Dreamworks couldn't be bothered doing an English dub? Dreamworks didn't record one for Millenium Actress either, but the UK distributor Manga Ent did.)

It's playing in Australia, so hopefully it'll be in NZ soon. Probably the dub is just for the DVD.
