Post by grim_tales »

Here are the results after Matchday 4 (Day 1) - a few teams still to play though.
I dropped 2 points because I did a couple of transfers - one of them was dropping Ronerto Carlos for Terry.

3 Evil Grim's XI Simon Gifford 31 150

5 The Ong Bak's Rico K 24 135
6 Euro Degen Kris Wojciechowski 30 130
7 Yi's Sexy Lemmons Yi Long 21 126
8 Jet's Team Redux Mike S 22 125

Here are the results after Matchday 4 then -

Bloody typical - I got 31 points alone on Day 1 and then only 4 points more on Day 2! :D

BnB Champions League
# Team Manager Mat Tot
1 Red Star Unreal Nilesh Parmar 33 177
2 The Underdogs Sarah T 52 165
3 Too Legit to Quit Jazz Singh 20 163
4 Evil Grim's XI Simon Gifford 35 154
5 The Ong Bak's Rico K 40 151
6 Euro Degen Kris Wojciechowski 41 141
7 Jet's Team Redux Mike S 28 131
8 Yi's Sexy Lemmons Yi Long 25 130
9 Real Balstino Mark Balogh 20 99

I got Terry though, so hopefully he can get me lots more points next time - he can even score goals (not really supposed to do that, being a defender) ;)

I brought another keeper in for Victor Baia (sp?) as he is injured, I made 3 transfers this matchday (I think) so will drop 4 (or is it 6?) points.. oh well.
Sir Alex takes charge of his 1000th game in charge of Man U tonight against Lyon :o :) I think if United win this they go through.

I'm not so confident about the PSV/Arse game though. :( Arsenal's defence is pretty shaky without Campbell IMO, and Wenger has said he won't rush him back. Wonder if he'll be fit for the Liverpool game on Sunday? :)

I only 9 points yesterday??? :( Oh well. A LOT more of team (in fact the rest of them barring the goalkeeper and Labant, the Sparta defender) play tonight. :D

Although Arsenal couldnt win last night I think 1-1 is pretty good considering we were down to 9 men! :D That was a shame as we seemed to be getting better after we scored.
Arent Lauren/Viera out of the next game though??

Do Arse play Rosenborg at home on Wednesday?
We just HAVE to win there ;) It shouldnt present many probs if we're at home, but dont go doing what we did in the last game ;)

Yes Arse play Rosenborg tonight. They are sticking with the young goalie that played against Birmingham and Man U.
If they play like they did against Birmingham they should be OK. :D

Bayern 3 - 1 Arsenal

Do we have to beat Bayern 3-0 at Highbury then? :? Could be hard, but at least we have *a* chance (Touré's away goal).

We need Campbell and Bergkamp back, and God (Henry) needs his scoring boots on. :? Players like Reyes IMO were OK tonight, the defence was shocking in parts though. :(

One thing that annoyed me was that ITV's digital broadcast of the game on Sky (probably to do with the feed from Germany) was in 4/3 (large black borders down the side of the screen) when the "outside" broadcasts before and the stuff back inside the studio was 16/9 :? (Thats what our Sky Digibox is set to).
