Tarantino Collection @ Amazon.fr

Post by grim_tales »

Pretty good price (49.99 Euros) for what you get:

http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... 81-1066512

Killing Zoe (3 DVDs)
Resevoir Dogs (3 DVDs)
Natural Born Killers (3 DVDs)
True Romance (3 DVDs)

Are the films any good? :D Maybe 3 DVDs means 2 DVDs plus the soundtrack CD, but thats sounds a steal for 50 Euros (IMO). :)

Tom what do you think? ;)

Can't comment on Killing Zoe and True Romance.

Reservoir Dogs is a low budget but decent remake of City on Fire.
Natural Born Killers is one of the craziest films to ever come out of Hollywood.

All films should feature DTS english and french tracks.
But since the distributor is TF1 I cannot guarantee that the subs will be removable.

I'll try and find out.

P.S: This boxset sounds pretty good so far. :D

--------------

EDIT:

Killing Zoe: 99% chance of removable subs.
Reservoir Dogs: 90% chance of removable subs.
Natural Born Killers: 49% chance of removable subs. (NBK has a full-rate DTS track !!)
True Romance: Unknown.

Is Killing Zoe Tarantino's segment from "Four Rooms"?

Natural Born Killers is a FUCKING TERRIBLE film. Pieces of shit like that, Alexander and U-Turn make me refer Oliver Stone as Oliver Stoner.

Aw come on !
NBK is a masterpiece !

A great satire about the media and the deification of bad guys.
Too bad you can't see that. :)

Well, to say RD is a REMAKE of COF is well... a bit too much... but probably the easiest, I'd say go with rework? It's certainly the inspiration for the movie and RD borrows heavily from it...

Ah shoot, it's a "remake" not just shot for shot :D
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

While I totally disliked 'Natural Born Killers', I enjoyed 'U-Turn' all the more. Sean Penn is just awesome.

I really liked 'U-Turn'. Haven't watched 'Alexander' and I was neither planning to.

Aren't discs 1 and 2 the same on these? With French DTS on one and English DTS on the other?

If so that sounds uber dumb. These aren't really any different to the international versions right?

He wrote the script I think or could've been producer. Nothing more.

Natural Born Killers is the most underrated film in history. It's a classic IMO. I love it. Alexander: Theatrical Cut is also very good.

I hear U-Turn is good. I saw the first hour a few years back and then stopped it to go to bed. I've not had much interest to watch the rest. It says it all really.
