Where can i get Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Chosen Boxset

Post by slasher13 »

Hi there

Dunno where else i should put this thread, but where is the cheapest place i can get Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Chosen Collection (40 Disc DVD Set) (Seasons 1-7).

I have seen this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AQ ... d&v=glance
But i know i will get nabbed by Custom.

Anyone got any idea

I have asked Movietyme and they will not be stocking it due to shipping :(

even with customs that's a great value boxset.it works out at less £80 inc. shipping so even with a customs hit you'll be looking at less than a £100 for 40 discs :P you do know the region 1 buffy dvds are full frame?

Hey SaltySam, long time no hear
Yeah i have hear this, but apparently the show was intended to be full frame instead of 16x9, 1:85. This was Joss preference

The uk version which is here
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=ti ... g=72&pa=sr

But the set doesn't have the bonus disk :(

Stuff what Joss wants! it looks far better in Widescreen! the just crop the hell out of it for Foolscreen from Season 4 onwards! (I think it 4?) dont beleve a word he says, he is wrong in my opinion as it looks georgous in widescreen and uncropped.

hi slasher how's it going? if you are happy with the full frame even with customs it's a hell of a saving, the box looks better and there's a bonus disc in there!still £100 is a fair wedge. :|

Er... is the R1 P&S while the R2 is WS? *confused*

I thought the first seasons were shot 4:3, while the latter as 16:9. I was also of the impression that this was the case with the DVDs...
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Season 1-4 were shot fullscreen :) and are on dvd in that format only :)

Season 5-7 are widescreen in UK and cropped Fulscreen in america from what I seen :) but Joss likes it that way sadly.

Hey there is the option of the new UK set? about 130 pounds all in.

I wish they'd done the same for 'Dawson's Creek', most of it was showed widescreen in the UK but the DVDs thus far have all been full-screen

It looks so much better in widescreen, even if it wasn't intended to be shown this way.
