For some reason i've never got into Bond...i think i've only seen Diamonds Are Forever in the cinema back in the 70's,ditto Live & Let Die..i saw Tomorrow Never Dies on dvd and Casino Royale on BD.. I'm tempted to try and see them all...should i see them in order or does it matter? any real avoid at all costs stinkers? My brother was telling me earlier CEX in town have Dr No on BD for £10..was thinking of picking it up.....

Order doesn't matter because there's a lack of continuity for the most part. I recommend checking out the Terence Young-directed ones: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Thunderball.

The only true stinker IMO is Die Another Day but Mark like it, so other must do too. There has been some follow on:
Quantum of Solace follows on from Casino Royale
Several earlier Bonds has a Blofelt theme
Jaws appeared in a few Bonds films, best viewed in order
But otherwise as Gasteropod says they don't really follow on. The first great one IMO is From Russia with Love. Dr. No is a bit pants IMO.

As for Blofeld, he's played by different actors most of the time, and in some films he has hair and others he's bald.
In For Your Eyes Only, Bond visits the grave of his dead wife, and that's about the extent of the continuity the Bond films have (apart from the two latest ones of course).

That is a good point, they have evolved quite differently. You could pick half a dozen top ones if you don't want to see all of them though.

License to Kill and World is not Enough interest me but I have them on DVD and am not sure I can be bothered to upgrade. Bond isn't like most releases, there's so many of them. I already Casino Royale and may just get Tomorrow Never Dies when that comes.
Most Bonds I don't consider good enough to upgrade to BD. I'm really not interested in upgraded all my DVDs to BD, not until BDs cost the same as DVDs anyway.

It's definitely Dalton's best and one of the best Bonds. I still think TLD has a poor villain. Dalton also comes across a slightly uncomfortable, something he doesn't in LTK.

I'd say edgy rather than uncomfortable. He was the first Bond who looked and acted as though he might actually be captured or killed at any time (like a real spy).
