When boarding the boat, Joey Wong's cousin bumps into the bad guys (Richard Norton and Co).
He says something like:
"Sorry isn't enough. Damn you, foreign bastards"

When in cantonese he says something along the lines of:
"I hope you bastards are gay and that you'll catch AIDS and die"

You hope, Mono isn't mentioned (it usually is) on the press release

Yeah, I hope. But I'm sure it will be better than the HKL dvd (at least picture-wise).

OMG I can see why they changed it. That's down right awful (even if it's the original language). Not funny at all.

p.s - I'm guessing a second Sammo Hung box set? The second being when Knockabout gets re-released.

Its' no loss IMO, it sounds awful.
Doesn't "puk gai" literally mean "Die in the street" or something like that? I can see why HKL use "bastard" (or an equivalent word).

I may get the City on Fire set (never seen the Prison on Fire movies before), and will definitely get the Armour of God set also.

I'd like to see that movie, it sounds great from what've read. Real shame the only version available is a significantly cut VCD release.

On The Run is a very dark and pessimistic John Woo-style police movie with Yuen Biao and Yuen Wah.

Spiritual Kung-Fu is a crappy "Lo Wei / Jacky Chan film". Like Killer Meteors, Half a loaf of Kung-Fu, etc...

I remember watching it a few years ago. Didn't like it much.

Pretty much what Tom said. Only most John Woo bloodshedders are better than the uneven On the Run. For Biao fans it's something a bit different however. Spiritual Kung Fu is only for die-hard Jackie fans who'll collect any old tosh he made.

Is anyone planning to get the Donnie Yen box set?

I'd love a screen capture comparison comparing the IM FS with HKL PE DVDs.

I'm tempted to also buy it for the proper subs on ITLOD4 and HD print on IM but am not sure.

I already own Fox's ITLOD4 and getting the FS would be my third version of it. IM I've already bought two versions and the HKL is already very good.

I forgot YWP directed both. Good point they could call it a YWP box set although I suspect it will be called the Donnie Yen box set.

One of the great things about the Fox versions of these films is you know they're going to be ridiculously cheap but unfortunately the IVL box sets are not.

Normally I'd get the IVL (or Fox) over HKL (assuming it doesn't have a FS print) any day but £20+ for a box set is really to much for me. I wish IVL wouldn't just realise box sets (on the whole), add to that I don't always want all the films in the box set (the Bruce Lee box set being a fine example).

The OUATIC Trilogy I was happy to pay nearly £20 as the films are so awesome but the new CYF box set I've not seen any of the films so spending £20 is risky. I'll probably end up getting COF HKL and waiting for HKL to release POF and POF2.

I'm sure if I wait I'll be able to pick up all 3 from HKL for much less than £20.

The AV quality comes first so usually I'm willing to forgoe extras and just stick with the IVL or Fox DVD but when we're talking £20+ I'll probably get the HKL and have the bonus of extras too. If I love the film enough I'll double dip and also get the HKL.
