Sly directed Rambo 4 as no one else wanted to, thank Christ he did. No one else would've made a film as much as as Rambo 4. Rambo needs an old school director like Sly.

I'm sure the R1 box set is already out, as is the new UK one.

I'm not sure which is best or whether I'll wait for HD

Batman:Gotham Knight 2.5/5

Had high hopes for this but was left a little underwhelmed. a collection of 6 animated shorts featuring various takes on the Batman character. at around 12 minutes each the stories were over before i could get into them really. nice animation though and a nice idea,Kevin Conroy back as Batman was a big plus point.

Blades Of Glory 2/5

By the numbers Will Farrell comedy is an ok way to pass 90 minutes .not laugh out loud funny but entertaining enough,Farrell & Heder make a good team.predictable and worth a once watch,nothing more.

Blades of Glory wasn't anywhere near as funny as it should have been - but the on-ice accident in China was hilarious. "We smuggled out this tape".

Cinderella (1950): 3.5/5

I enjoyed it but not as much as other classic Disneys, maybe over familiarity with the story? At turns it seemed rather short (its only just over 60 minutes long) and then drawn out (a sequence at the end when Cinderella is locked away). Although there is only one really memorable song in my view (the Oscar winning classic Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo), what a classic it is I also found the comic relief mice in the film kind of annoying at times although their battles with Lucifer the cat are good The Fairy Godmother sequence is brilliant
As with most Disneys, the Prince is a non descript wimp, we never even find out his name (ironic when he complains he doesnt even know Cinderella's name).

Hellboy II: The Golden Army - 3.5/5
Not as fresh or fun as Iron Man or even The Incredible Hulk but a solid, solid film. Much better than the original IMO. This is a much more family-friendly, audience-friendly film than the first which is good. Also features some very good fight scenes designed by former Jackie Chan Stunt Team memeber Brad Allen.

Funny as hell, but predictable in the storyline, good for a laugh though.

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian 3.5/5
Good action, good acting (but the youngest kid kinda annoys me) it just deviates for too much from the book imo the whole Susan/Caspian attraction but its worth seeing.

Eagle vs. Shark: 3.5/5

Pretty funny, but very much a Kiwi Napoleon Dynamite.

The Bank Job Blu-Ray 3/5

Very entertaining old school British crime thriller based on a true story about a 70's bank robbery in London. Starring Jason Statham and a bunch of familiar British character actors this is well worth seeing through it's near 2 hr running time.Statham plays his usual familiar role in a slightly more restrained tone but is pretty good as the lead robber.

Transporter japanese blu-ray 3.5/5

i know there isn't much love for this but what's not to like? likeable leads,plenty of action and an excellent transfer of the uncut version on this japanese blu-ray import

Was that a serious question? . The script is awful and flows so badly, story is laughable and Statham's American accent is awful. The action isn't exactly mind blowing either.

The sequel is much better, although sadly it's missing the lovely Shu Qi.

She may be lovely but she was really annoying in Transporter IMO.

After the way Tigercage destroyed you over the Orphanage and Romero ate you alive oyesterday over you labelling a film you'd watched an hour of "shit" i highly doubt you've seen half the films you profess to have seen.

Rather dated but still enjoyable.Adam West is excellent.nice blu-ray transfer of a colourful 60's romp.

The second Transporter is pretty good but no keeper.
