Just on normal, sadly I wanted to walk the same paths you did, but I got distracted by other new and fun games. Maybe when I get my plasma I'll start playing Black again to check out the slightly higher resolution, and I can check out the Hard-mode.

Seriously, its a far better & far more rewarding game once you get up to Master Ninja difficulty. You should definitely go back to it.

I know man, but there is so much other stuff I should also be playing... like MGS4 and Ratchet and Clack and Oblivion and Mass Effect etc etc.

I'm not excited about Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 at all, since finding out that they've replaced the excessive blood gushing with purple glowy effects.

IronMonkey, did they ever fix all the NG2 bugs and shit that were introduced when patched it?

Just got an Xbox 360 and I'm playing "John Woo's Stranglehold". I have always only played the first level. Re-discovered it now and man is it a great game. I always wanted to be Chow Yun-fat in his greatest heroic bloodshed films.

It's very good so far (I'm about halfway), I hope they remake more Broken Sword games for DS Pity theres no voice acting but the facial expressions and some graphics are good

That's the exact same criticism and sceptism I have about Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma. I can't understand why the felt the need to censor it, and I can't understand why they can't at least include an option for the excessive gore and blood. It'sa fucking shame.

Apart from that, it does look really good, and I'm glad Ayane and the other chick will be playable (although I feel the character-model of Ayane in Sigma 2 sucks).

Not sure if I'd buy this 'censored' version though. I'm pretty much a stubborn bitch when it comes to stuff like this. I can't stand censorship.

I have played Fallout 3 a bit on my PC btw. After my PC broke down I haven't re-installed it yet, but I did enjoy the game for the couple of hours I played it. I'm pretty sure I made a bck-up of the save-games, so I assume I could carry on playing where I left off.

Now that my PC is only occasionally online (see router-thread), I played Sim City 4 a bit again. Occasionally it crashes, and some stuff is very annoying (like fires and advisors with their pop-up boxes when you just want to build stuff...), but it's still very satisfying when your 'sims' are happy, and everything is going pretty well and looks nice.

Aw really? That sucks, the voice acting is great!

Make sure you check out Broken Sword 2.5 (ideally after you've played the second game, but probably not essential) which is a fan-made game available to download for free, and it's really good! http://www.brokensword25.com/

I think the lack of voice acting was due to the lack of space on the DS cart I like the way the storylines are interwoven in the DS version, it seems to anticipate the Da Vinci Code by a number of years

Been playing Battlefield 1943 the last few days on 360. Pretty cool game, but sadly they've made sniping less powerfull than it was in BF2: Modern Combat. Now you need a headshot to kill someone with 1 shot (as a sniper), or else you need 2 or 3 shots. It sucks. Especially since I'm still on an SDTV as opposed to a HDTV, so it's hard enough as it is to hit someone.

Also, I'm still getting the hand of some of the controls, which take some getting used to.

Overall though, it's a very entertaining MP game for about 10 bucks (1200 MPs).

I heard one of the groups I go to may be getting a Wii next term so I might try it out then

As mentioned before, I've been playing battlefield 43 quite a bit. Fun game, and I also seem to get the hang for being a sniper a bit. Sniper is still too 'weak' when you compare it to 'Rifleman', but when you play very carefully, hide well, and are patient, you can still be of some use to your team when you have happened to have picked the right spot.

I just had a match where I killed 10 opponents without dying once, so that was a nice feeling. Also the clay-bombs are great for setting a trap. I was lucky that 2 jeeps drove side by side over my 'trap', so that was 2-3 kills at once

I'm expecting Skate 2 and GRID in the mail this week.

Also played Forza 2 a few races against a friend online, which was OK, but since I don't have a headphone etc (nor do I want one), communication was a bit awkward.

I'm back playing WipEout HD again since the Fury expansion pack was released last Thursday. New tracks, game modes, music, ships, trophies, etc, bloody brilliant!

Yeah, I'm keeping my eye out on WipeOut for the PS3, but I'll pck it up when I get my plasma, and TBH I expect a nice bundle of the game plus expansion for a sweet price somewhere in the near future.

I'm looking very much forward to Shadow Complex (360) btw. Turtles in Time also looks sweet fun.

I bought the Trilogy on PC today for when we get a new machine.
It includes Beneath a Steel Sky too.

Yeah I have because it's downloadable for free for SCUMMVM (legally). I never really got that far with it though, let me know what you think of it.

What is SCUMMVM?
We were just working out the recommended specs for the game so I can get it to work when we get the new PC. But the PC we get will be way above those "recommended" specs.

Great graphics, sweet gameplay, and it really just FEELS like you're 'Batman'. They did such a good job with that.
The are some very minor negative points, like 'no blood', but apart from that it seems like a winner.

I was looking forward to Turtles, but it turned out a dud so I won't be buying that. Will probably get Castle Crashers instead, but I'll wait to see what the new PS3 version will be like, or if the 360 version will react to the PS3 release by dropping in price a bit.

My mate last night was saying how good the Batman demo is too, I downloaded half of it on Thursday but haven't been bothered to download the rest yet, will do soon.

Still playing Broken Sword on DS, awesome game
