Only two:

1. Seven Swords
2. Time and Tide - Boy this one is hard work

Bey on the other hand is always very relaxed and they flow well.

I guess using the term "never" is very inappropriate then.

By the way, is the "Seven Swords" commentary subbed or in English or were you talking about the DD one?

Please presume it's a given I mean IMO in future.

All extras on the HK 3 Disc SE are English subtitled, so are they on the DD too of course. I "think" they are on the HK 2 Disc SE too but I could be wrong on that one.

It's actually a co-writer/producer/director Tsui Hark and associate producer/co-writer Cheung Chi-sing commentary.

It's still worth it even if it is the same cut, assuming another region doesn't get it uncut that is.

I've pre-ordered it. It's out a month early too (15th of February).

Here we are reduced prices:

* Casino Royale: $15.95 down from $17.95 (discount already applied):

http://www.cd-wow.us/detail_results_2.p ... 75&pp_nr=1

With voucher code $2 added $13.95/£7.43 :D

* The Departed: $15.95 down from $17.95 (discount already applied):

http://www.cd-wow.us/detail_results_2.p ... 75&pp_nr=1

With voucher code $2 added $13.95/£7.43 :D

I'm not in any rush to pick up The Departed.

I wouldn't pre-order any Casion Royale until we know what's what with versions? Remember this was also cut in the US.

So the US cinema version contained the cut torture scene?

Posted: 18 Jan 2007, 13:16

surely the initial Casino Royale release will be the same worldwide?

I believe it was the same as the UKCV.

Exactly and if it is indeed cut on all DVDs then Meh moving on. I'm not waiting indefinitely in the hope an uncut DVD comes and we have no real idea it ever will.

If it turns out to be cut then I'll have to consider at the time if I want to keep the R3. It depends at that point how cut it really is.

Maggie Cheung's: Clean £9.20 - http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results_14 ... ffid=13858

Also starring Nick Nolte. As it's a CD WOW Warehouse title you can only knock £1 off using a voucher code, voucher links do not work on Warehouse stock.

It says it will ship in up to 7 days. That link is affiliated to Bullets.

This is the R1 USA and the only version worth considering. The R1 Canadian, UK R2 and Korean R3 are cropped to 1.85:1, the HK R3 while uncropped at 2.35:1 is a mess and also interlaced too.

Hardly a bargain, is it?

Posted: 23 Jan 2007, 01:54
by bradavon
Well no it's not a fiver but it's equally a decent price for a niche title that is unlikely to ever drop dramatically. It's under £10 so good for me.

Fancy posting some bargains then smart arse? ;)

Where did I put that hand bag? :D

I see CD WOW are selling ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST R1 for £5.49.

Anyone know if this will be a Canadian version (ie. bilingual packaging)?

http://www13.cd-wow.com/detail_results_ ... de=1112460

Gives very little detail... but this surely has mono right?

depends if it's the canadian release, paramount are one of the worst offenders for bi-lingual covers.however i think cd-wow usually put francaise somewhere in the listing if it's a canadian version :?

E-mail them at: help@cd-wow.com and ask. They always reply to me in a day or so. I need to nudge them occasionally though.

That's a Warehouse title so Voucher Links won't work on it but you can knock £1 off. As it's also a Warehouse title the usual rules of them listing the dubs and subs don't apply.

You're best bet is to ask.

Thanks Brad, I mailed them.

Will let you guys know in case anyone else is interested....

That's my experience too. Their suck up e-mails are something else.

No worries btw.
