You reckon that's a common thing for me? You're a right tool sometimes . I certainly wasn't expecting it, suspect most of the company got some form of Xmas Bonus and doubt I'll see it again any time soon. It had nothing to do with my salary and more to do with the work I and this other guy have done this year.

The support was moved from elsewhere and I gather it's been a success. The guys who used to run it were utterly useless and our customers hated them.

It was a nice surprise though. I've only been in the company since June.

Besides don't you live with your parents? Meaning the money I get a month maybe more than you but it means little when most of it goes on bills. If you do live with your parents I wouldn't be surprised to hear your "fun money" if you will is higher than mine.

I'm sure the money Salty has left is nothing on what he actually originally gets. It's a depressing sight, the amount bills take away from you.

Go get that BD Player . I'd struggle to pay £230 out right (except out of savings) with one month's salary.

I've thought it crazy they only have Ethernet ports for ages, especially as so many people have their BD Player nowhere near their router and HomePlug is expensive.

How on earth does this remotely help the consumer? I forsee many disc/player problems afoot. What an odd move when Fox have only relatively recently stopped using region protection.

But Paramount They have all been region free so far.

Its a TV rights thing for coding it I would say, TV and film are vastly different when it comes to dvd and Blu Ray.

Thank fuck my HD Combo Player is Multi-region. I don't have many but more than enough to make it a must for me. I recently bought Red Desert (1960s Italian Arthouse), it's Region B locked.

Yes, CSI is a USA release that's Region A.

But as they've all been on TV a million fucking times it makes no sense.

TV broadcasting rights are an entirely different thing to home video format distribution rights.

Just because you hold the license for one, it doesn't automatically mean that you have the other.

You're right since it's only CSI and Dexter that are region coded by Paramount.

I guess as I don't buy TV shows that won't affect me.

Outside of the Combo arena I'm not sure I'd trust LG with a BD Player but this still looks decent. I'd likely still opt for a Panasonic though.
