Those extras seem pretty poor considering the great amount on the UEs. I feeling a double dip.

Me too. No DTS or commentary basically says a Double UE Dip is for sure.

Still the 2 Disc Region 3 only costs £7.43/US $14.56 from CD WOW after vouchers so no big deal. It will be identical to the R1 plus dubs/subs and probably regional coding.

Don't ya just hate when two people post polar info and both claim it's accurate?

I certainly do.

Even more so when both "claim" to personally know people from the film crew but offer nothing to backup that claim. No source links or anything.

Personally I'm happy to wait for my R3 to find out. It really could go either way.

Yes, the BBFC claim it to be uncut, but did they certify an uncut print or a print pre-cut by the distributer?

That would be a cut print I'm guessing, if it had to edited for a (strong) cinema 12A, the 12 cert DVD is possibly cut.

Yeah, it would more likely be an uncut 15 in my mind...

It was pretty brutal even in its cut form at the cinema.

If it's a '12' it'll be exactly the same as the UK cinema version.

I suspect the R1 will be the same and PG-13 rated.

Oh well, if the R1 is the same, I'll still get this - the film is just too damn good

This work was passed with no cuts made.

That is not the same as saying it's uncut. It just says the "new" submission is worthy of a 12 rating.

The theatrical and video submissions are independent of each other and as Sony already know from the theatrical cut what isn't allowed in a 15 the 12 rated cut is bound to be the same cut.

This is Sony. They'll release stupid 'Extended Editions' which no one wants, but not the uncut/director's cut which we do.

My R3 arrived today and:

Disc 1:

Regions 1 & 3
DTS (Half-rate) - This looks to be R3 exclusive
7.38Gb (DVD-9s can hold 8.7Gb)

Disc 2:

Regions 1, 3 & 4
7.01Gb + some DVD-Rom content (does anyone ever watch this?)
There is no lengthy documentary though, the longest extra is 26 minutes by the looks of it.

Housed in a clear keep-case. Still it must add up to a lot to fill a DVD-9.

Apparently, the R1 DVD will feature a DTS track based on the menu screens at DVDACTIVE:

Unfortunately those menus aren't from the R1 but they are from the R3 edition. It says "R1 artwork and menu grabs from the R3 (hence the DTS track and foreign subtitles).
