No, Halo 3 Limited Edition. I don't need an overkill/overpriced 120GB HDD.

Oh, they'll get the seamless right on the 3 versions disc, most of the alternate shots / cuts are in the same sections, you just have to duplicate/triplicate maybe 5 mn of film in and get the branching program pick them up, it's less hard than The Abyss.

I hope so. Companies manage to screw that up pretty often.

Note that most DVDs use seamless branching, as the feature is always separated in 3/5 different blocks of VOB.

That's an amazing set. Will get HD 5-disc set w/out collectibles and SD Collectible set.

I've never been able to watch this movie (granted, I've only tried to do it whenever it has been screened on TV). I always found it a bit boring. However, I've just been reading the 25th Anniversary special in Empire magazine, and it's really got me intrigued again. I think I will buy the dvd set when it comes out.

Clips from the Final Cut including the newly edited unicorn scene (much better now, in my opinion) and a preview for 'Dangerous Days: making Blade Runner."

I think Warner must have cocked up the pricing. The price difference of $60 between the Briefcase and Digipack HD releases seems all wrong.

My god the Final Cut was released into UK cinemas last Friday, here is a review:

http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/rev ... FID=135282

And it's not playing on ANY of my local cinemas, further afield or even coming soon  . I know it's on limited release but this is BLADE RUNNER!

It's only being show on FIVE bloody screens in England and Scotland (nothing at all in Wales) AND for one week only is why  -

http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/6716/bl ... ow_it.html

Add to that the two screenings in Brixton are at 13:30 and 18:30. Why? Why? Why?

Another review:

http://avplay.avforums.com/index.php?reviewid=12966

It's becoming clear the Final Cut is 99% the same as the Director's Cut. I don't see that as a bad thing the DC is already so good as it is. What's changed is: It's been cleaned up, tweaked, a bit more violence and some continuity errors have been fixed.

But on the whole it looks pretty similar to it's been for the past 15 years. For those who want it very different the DVD box set has the Workprint :D

I read that replicants' eyes glisten now or something, so surely that creates a continuity error due to that eye test they do and stuff?

Funny I thought you didn't read reviews Romero? :D

I read the same and it creates the same continuity error but I also read they always glistened. I'm not sure how they glisten now to say if they always did or not.

Not that I care, it's outstanding in it's 1992 form, tweaking to make it even better I'm all for. By all accounts it's even better now. All the reviews say we should ALL see it on the big screen but none of them bloody mention if you live in the UK HA HA you can't!

Surely there is no mystery as to who are replicants then, if all you have to do is look into their eyes. I don't understand how such a glaring error could be let into the film.

I'm waiting until I've seen it until I say how much of an error it is ;)

I aint read any reviews, its comon knowlege now as they have stated that is one of the stupid things about the new cut. Its so stupid and it will ruin the film for people who aint seen it before, its like sticking a sign over all the replicants heads saying I AM A ROBOT! then still going theu the silly eye test.

They obviously are stupid people if they thought adding a glint in their eyes makes anything but dumb sense.

Yeah all Replicants now have extra tasty small CGI enhanced eyes :) so its easy to spot them from a mile off, sort of makes the need for any Cops who hunt them extinct, as hell anyone can now spot them on the streets instantly.

I doubt this alone ruins the film. It's still an outstanding film.
