Zavvi.com has the Vengeance-trilogy in their Monday Madness deal, for 6-7 pounds a piece.

Might pick up Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, which is my favourite of the bunch.

Will have to check some reviews to check the quality of these discs though...

Im actually still quite content with my DVD's, and the reviews for the blu-rays say there's room for improvement, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get a re-release in the next 2-3 years.

If Tartan have anything to do with it they will re-release them every 2 years haha

So the Theatrical Cut is the Director's Cut, correct? The Extended Cut is 20mins longer and looks to be exclusive to North America. So if you want the Theatrical Cut, you'll need to source your DVD/BD from outside North America.

It's a good film but not a great gangster film.

Thanks. Like that pointless American exclusive Black Hawk Down Extended Cut, which thankfully was only used the once on a single DVD release. It was just deleted scenes put back in. That wasn't sold as a Special Edition though and had few extras.

Distributors routinely stick EXTENDED/UNRATED/TOO HOT FOR THEATRES/UNSEEN etc... on a package like that's all that matters. Who cares if it's right for the film? It's little more than a cynical marketing exercise. Of course the irony is that films which genuinely were censored like CLIFFHANGER and TOTAL RECALL et al never get the uncut releases they're due. Go figure.
