Thanks Yi-Long! I am very proud! It was damn hard!
EvaUnit02 wrote:Download the SNES rom of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, it's a 16-bit remake of the NES originals and looks way better than NES roms included with Ninja Gaiden Xbox.
But still not quite up to the graphical splendor of Ninja Gaiden Black, right?
Oh and Yi-Long, your sig might be bigger
than Keung's, but it contains a spelling mistake!

I know I know about the spelling mistake
Anyway, finished Ninja Gaiden as well tonight. Now I have unlocked Hard Mode, which is indeed pretty hard...
I also unlocked Mission Mode, which is ALSO very hard...
Plus I can now choose to wear a butt-ugly costume... yayyyy(!)
Ah well... I'm proud of myself for finishing the game. It was quite difficult at times. Plus I have a tendency the last couple of years of not finishing games, so this was a nice way to end that run
Not too sure if I'll try to beat it on HARD anytime soon. I would like to unlock a new costume, but not sure if I wanna go through all that hassle again...
Also not sure about mission mode. I tried it a bit, but it kicked my ass. Undoubtedly I will get better and manage to beat it overtime... but right now I think I'll continue with one of my other games for the time being.
BTW, I really hoped for and kinda expected a bit longer ending-cinema, but it was pretty short... so that was a shame.
Not sure if hard-mode will give me any more/other cinematics but I guess not.
BTW: How fucking annoying are those ghost-fish?
I used the flails on them and thats eemd to work ok, but still... talk about fucking annoying. Those things give me the creeps. I hate enemies that attach themselfs to you and suck you dry... (AKA Monica's)

Still playing
Metal Gear Ac!d, finally defeated Leon, and got out of the warehouse, that bit was really hard

. Now onto the drawbridge bit, completed the first part, so near the FAR bit. It still a really cool game. Just want to finish this game, then play Metal Gear Ac!d 2

Def LostDragion, I hope i don't have to face him again. I just found out, that when you hide behind a container, you can use the machine gun and Snake will quickly come out and shoot the enemy as similar in MGS games.

I kept getting my arse kicked by Krauser (I forget his name) on the bridge, as I recall. Fighting him in the main game as Leon was a piece of piss for me though (especially with a significantly upgraded Killer7 magnum).

I completed Metal Gear Ac!d and now I have the sequel, but I'm not as fond of it as the first one, so I haven't been playing it much.

There is a trick - if you reenter the bridge where Krauser is, he starts at the end of the bridge, futherest way from you, so you get your rifle out and snipe him in the leg then head, then leg then head etc until he dies

Currently playing and just completed..
Dead Rising - Awesome game. If you like the idea of killing zombies with countless random items, then this game is for you.
Lots of reply value also!
Tomb Raider: Legend - Finally. Its great to see the Crystal Dynamics has gotten the Tomb Raider franchise out of the bottom of the toilet bowl.
Both on XB360.

I just finished Call of Duty: United Offensive for PC tonight. I've had it for ages and completed the original Call of Duty last year but I've not really played United Offensive since then...
Anyway, I decided I'd give it another go because I was bored & made my way through it over the last few days.
It is an excellent game though. The single player campaign is probably better than the original Call of Duty, even if it is a bit short. But then, what do you expect for an expansion pack?

Call of Duty 2 has one of the best single player campeigns ever for an FPS.
Amazing game, on both PC and 360.

I have COD2 on my HD installed and ready to go right now... but havent really bothered to play it yet...
I'm not a big gamer when it comes to games on the PC, apart from adventure stuff...

I remember that I enjoyed "Diablo 2". Is it still enjoyable these days? I mean is it a timeless game as say "Tetris"?

I'm still mulling over RE4... trying to get those pesetas for the typewriter and the IRL!
Just waiting for PES6...

Aw yeah, PES6... looking forward to it as well. Saw the new videofootage of it and it looks pretty decent (X360 footage). Not a huge leap forward or anything, but they made a couple of small improvements, like a little sign with high balls as to where it's gonna land...
Only problem is that I dont have a 360, and I'm not planning on buying on either, untill it comes down in price, which will probably only happen when the PS3 arrives, which should be next year...

They're releasing
PES 6 on PS2 and Xbox as well as 360 I think. I hope!
And doesn't
5 already have a little marker when the ball's been crossed or switched?
I'm looking forward to little touches like being able take free kicks quickly, mid-air backheels and the like

Posted: 24 Aug 2006, 11:59
by Yi-Long
Nope... only on PS2 and X360... not on the normal Xbox... which is a shame...
And I'm not sure about the marker in PES5. I think not cause sometimes I have trouble seeing the trajectory of the ball when it's in mid-air... and a marker (and/or a clear shadow under the ball) would fix that problem...

Well, as long as some intrepid person(s) updates the team names, player names and kits like they've done for the previous games, I'll be happy.
My mate has kept all the kits and teams up to date; including the fire sale of the Juve players

by Yi-Long
yeah, the good thing about the 360 is that it has USB ports, so perhaps that will make it easier to install new patches and team updates from other users who update all that stuff...
Personally, I pretty much only play with Arsenal in single player mode. So updated those a bit but I still play with Bergkamp in the team.
For PSV I made Aissati, who is a new young player who is HIGHLY talented and one of my favourite young players I've ever seen...
And on some players I upgraded their stats a bit when they didnt make sense. A lot of the lesser known players have stats that just arent correct, so I improve their stats a bit till I feel they are correct. I never improve them more then they should though.

Yi - Check out the stat-makers over at the Evo-Web forums, especially by the users 'PLF' and 'delperio', they are awesome stat makers. Maybe we'll have a PES6 thread just for stat/technical discussion?
Kurgan - What a geek
Do you guys play the PS2 version? I play with the PC version as a) easy to update as loads of people post their option files with updated stats/kits b) you can mod with programs to get new balls and 3d kits c) it's £18

Hey Toge,
I didnt really use other people's stats. Simply cause I only changed them from the players I know about.
When it comes to appearances, I might use stats from others if feel they're good enough... but usually I altered those by myself as well.
I only play the Xbox version btw. I'd like to try the PC version and I might for PES6, but not sure yet. Seems indeed like it would we way easier to update and patch.
I'd never pay for a patch/option file though.

Only as much as you, probably less
I've actually become far more a fan of football than I'd ever thought I would be, as a direct result of the
Pro Evo games.
Yi-Long wrote:I'd never pay for a patch/option file though.
Who sells 'em?!? I mean, I'd never buy them, but who actually has the temerity to sell them in the first place?

Toge mentioned it costs 18 pounds or something...
I can understand why some people would want money as they probably spend alot of hours doing all that editing and updating and all that... but I personally wouldnt pay it. I buy a game for a certain price and that's that: I dont wanna pay extra for udates or extra content or whatever.
