I wasn't expecting Lossless Mono. We almost never get that, they usually just re-use the DVDs Dolby Digital Mono. Good work Universal.

According to the menu caps posted by Beaver the mono is listed next to the 5.1 and foreign dubs.
Apparently that's the default track too. So you have to select the 5.1 mix.

I saw the packaging in HMV today (looks shit to be honest - but it's the disc I care about) and it's odd that the mono track isn't even mentioned - anywhere - on the packaging.
Had me worried for a second until I rechecked the reviews.

Look more closely-it is on the packaging,listed under Special Features- "english-mono 2.0" i was referring to the packaging with my original comment about the mono being listed as a special feature.

You mean the specs bit at the bottom right of the sleeve?

That's not saying that mono is a special feature.

It's saying that the special features are in mono.

The R1 Universal Legacy isn't mono Even though it says it is, its a downmix?

I think it was a downmix.

The 14 disc Hitch box had a genuine mono track (although it wasn't remastered)

Universal need to get this sorted out.

No, only the Signature box set had mono.

What's the point including dowmixed mono? That's knowingly lying to your target market. At least I know a 5.1 remix, is a remix.

I've just got the BD but I can't find the 'Remastering Psycho HD' special feature on the disc

My copy has been shipped.

Well I googled it and there have been others asking the same question and it appears Universal made a cockup lol
