Yup, despite its narrative/plot failings, it's totally a highlight of the year.

It's more dramatic but given this is Mann, it is very odd then.

Nope. Not IMO in Public Enemies, it works very well.

Avatar number 1 ahhh it is winning many hearts it seems, even the ladies I am finding love it

I have seen it 3 times so far, for me it is not in my top films of the year mind you, but it is a good cinema experience that's for sure. So I may as well see it a few more times in 3D, becuase I know I will not be able to ever see it like that again for countless years.

4 of their 6 writers named Love Exposure as the best Japanese films of the year. But it's actually a 2008 film. That's why it doesn't appear on my 2009 list. It does appear on my "best movies of the decade" list, though. Number 2, if I recall correctly.

Thirst was one of the worst film I have seen for a very long time, utter shit from beginning to end how crap can a director get.

Didn't think Thirst was that bad as it was well made and acted, just failed to do anything for me.

I did not even think it was well acted or well made, the entire film made me cringe at how poor it was.
